For Memorial Day, we spent the day at a friends' house on the beach. We made donuts in the morning then had a cookout in the afternoon. It was too hot to be out on the beach so we stayed on the covered porch with the fan. Gentry practiced his walking and played with the dogs (there were 3). I could spend all my days at the beach :) As long as I have some shade, I'm good!
Not a typical Gentry picture. He had just woken up from a nap and I think I caught him off guard. He was waiting for his lunch.
Gentry got a kick out of this fan/spray bottle. He would just laugh and laugh whenever you sprayed it at him.
Munching on some ice...like I said, it was HOT!
Gentry decided to share his ice with Sam. He was just soaking up all the attention. He LOVED it!
Mom took us to the Yorktown Victory Center one afternoon. In the 24 years I lived in VA, I can't remember ever going here. We toured the museum and then walked around the reenactment area.
Gentry checking out the rooster at the Yorktown Victory Center. We also got to walk through the encampment and even see/hear a cannon fire. We thought the loud noise would scare him but he had no reaction.

We took a trip to Blue Bird Gap Farm one morning. I used to go here for many field trips in elementary school and with my Grammy. Gentry loved looking at all the animals and playing on the huge playground. This was one of the many peacocks we saw. We even saw white peacocks...they weren't nearly as pretty as this guy.
Mom pulled out the pool so Gentry could splash around a bit. We weren't used to the heat and humidity of Virginia. He sat and played in here for at least an hour.
I guess Gentry was thirsty....he decided he needed to taste the pool water. Yuck!
Best buds. You can't see it in the picture, but Gentry has a stick in his hand and he kept pointing it at Sam and then to the bushes while jabbering away. Sam would follow it like he understood what Gentry was telling him. It was so incredibly cute!
We were so happy that Sherin, Blake, and little Tanner were able to stop by. We hadn't seen them since last summer. It was so good to catch up with an old friend. As soon as they pulled up to Mom's house, Blake remembered where he was. He said, "This is where I played with the Lego Man!" He was referring to Mitchell. That last time they visited he and Mitchell played Lego's while Sherin and I caught up. No Lego's this time, due to the babies so they played ball outside. Unfortunately, Blake lost his bouncy ball in the gutter :(
