Pumpkin Patch

We made two trips to the Pumpkin Patch this year. The first visit was just Gentry and I and we went to a craft fair they were having. Daddy was in the field up in 29 Palms (the desert) so we waited to do the pumpkin part until he got home.

The first visit it was super hot. I think it was about 90! We didn't stay long, but had fun with some friends we ran in to. At least we got a couple pictures with the Shrek themed scarecrows.

The second visit (with Daddy), the weather was completely different. It was chilly and rainy. It wasn't a heavy rain so we were at least able to pick out some pumpkins. Gentry couldn't decide which pumpkin he wanted. Every time we would put his "pick" into the wheelbarrow, he would go to a new pumpkin and try to pick it up.

I was a bit nervous letting Gentry sit there alone. He is so fearless these days, I was sure he was going to jump right off.

Gentry with his first pumpkin...he tried to pick many.

And now he's found another one.

He needed Daddy's help to pick it up.

What a strong lil guy!

All tuckered out from his afternoon at the pumpkin patch.

Halloween 2010

We started our evening by going to a friend's house for a cookout. Gentry loved playing outside with all of his friends. After dinner, we came back to our neighborhood so I could take him to see a few of our good friends. Gentry had it easy and rode in the wagon. Daddy stayed home to pass out candy. We had a good amount of trick-or-treaters and passed out all of our candy (we didn't want any left over).

It was funny, Gentry would follow Mitchell to the door and get a big handful of candy and try to put it in a kid's bag. Then he would take the bowl back to the living room and dump it out, pick out what he 'wanted' and try to eat it. He knew there were good things in those bowls that everyone had. We managed to come home with more candy than I was hoping for, oh well.

Trying to get a picture of Gentry and his friend Kennadi...neither one of them was interested.

Cutest giraffe EVER!

Grandpa Visits

We were lucky and Grandpa was making a delivery in LA, so he swung down and stayed with us for a couple of days. Unfortunately, Mitchell was in the field, so he missed seeing my Dad. However, Gentry and I enjoyed the visit.

Gentry loved playing with Grandpa outside. They went to the park, took a ride on his tractor, took a ride in the wagon, walked up and down the street, and swung in his swing.

Grandpa and Gentry swinging.

He was laughing uncontrollably!

Gentry was checking out Grandpa's beard. I think he liked how scratchy it felt :)

Thank you Dad for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit us. We were glad to have you and can't wait to see you for Thanksgiving!
