I've been trying to find things to do with Gentry during our stay in VA. This particular day, we went to the Virginia Living Museum in Newport News. I used to go there for field trips in elementary school, but hadn't been in quite some time. They've done so much with it since then. Gentry really enjoyed running all around and looking at the fish in the many different tanks. We also walked the nature trail and saw deer,
opossum, raccoon, wolves, a red fox, bald eagles, butterflies, and turtles.
I was trying to get Gentry to get in the turtle and stick his head out. Over the past few months, he's become very cautious. It's cute to see him exploring things and to stop and think about his next move. Here he is checking out the whole situation.
He decided to give it a try. He poked his head in but wouldn't go any further. So this was the best shot I could get :)
Checking out some fish.
Exploring the big log. There were other kids climbing all over it and Gentry just thought he could be a big kid like them.
Crawling through the log.
For some reason, he really liked running along this bench. I think he played here for about 20 minutes!
